PROJECT STORY
Oxford Properties' Design & Construction Department in Calgary required the design, fabrication, and installation of a new Guest Services Kiosk as part of the renovation project at Southcentre Mall.
The design team had to work within tight parameters regarding materials to ensure visual cohesion between the semi-complete renovations, including the brand-new food court located nearby. This created function and fabrication challenges when trying to accommodate the long list of must-haves.
Ultimately, a stylish, modern design was approved which accommodated the needs of the staff and the customers. The exterior and counter surfaces of the kiosk were finished in a limestone Corian with rich, natural Oak laminate for the interior millwork. LED accent lighting and temporary, clear acrylic screens were also incorporated.
